ABOUT POHLEN MATERNITY

At Pohlen Maternity, we believe that childbirth is a profound and empowering journey. We’re dedicated to providing a nurturing, supportive environment that respects your unique choices and embraces your personal needs during this special time.

Our holistic approach is inspired by Te Whare Tapa Whā, focusing on the four essential pillars of well-being: physical, emotional, family, and spiritual health. We are here to support not only the physical health of mother and baby, but also the emotional and family connections that make this experience truly meaningful.

OUR FACILITIES

Statement of New Zealand College of Midwives:  “The evidence clearly identifies that the safest place for well, healthy women and babies who do not have any complications to achieve a healthy birth is in a primary birthing unit or at home. Giving birth in a familiar and comfortable environment with a midwife means that less pain relief is needed, and intervention rates are reduced”

Our birthing centre is designed to offer a home-like atmosphere calm, quiet and comfortable also easily accessible with lots of parking.
Pohlen Maternity is an accredited Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative facility.
